Comfortable Living

WHY VELOX

VELOX buildings create the perfect blend of thermal insulation and heat accumulation to create a comfortable living environment. Due to the excellent thermal resistance of the external walls and the heat accumulation of concrete cores, rooms remain pleasantly cool throughout the summer and retain necessary heat in winter. The ability to absorb external noise interference and high fire protection, together with ideal thermal characteristics creates a comfortable living space.

The graph opposite shows the relationship between the mean temperature of the inner surface of the walls and the middle of the room and representation of a feeling of thermal comfort. The relationship shows that the low temperature of the internal wall surface is very energy consuming. Surface temperatures on the inside walls of the VELOX build represent values from 20 to 21°C (according to the relative area of windows), i.e. In order to ensure thermal comfort in the building, room temperature should be maintained at 20°C.

Generally, the feeling of thermal comfort occurs when:

  • The thermometer in a room shows 18 to 24°C

  • The temperature difference between the inside of the perimeter wall and the room temperature is lower than 3°C

The VELOX building system meets these requirements with minimum consumption of thermal energy.

The better the building block, the better the building

Velox ICF forms are high-tech industry-leading insulated concrete forms that have proven technologies to make building easier and faster.

The Velox line of ICFs offer innovation that is exclusive to Velox, which allows builders the ability to build and design structures with greater efficiency.
